How ultrasound therapy works?
IONTO Sono delivers ultrasound energy to the skin to create three complementary effects:
1) Thermal Effect -Heat.
Gentle warmth helps promote circulation and supports cellular metabolism, energising the skin.
2) Mechanical Effect – Alternating Pressure Phases.
Alternating over- and under-pressure phases create subtle stimulation in the tissue, supporting collagen activity and improving firmness
3) Biochemical Effect – Micro-massage.
Fine vibrations create a targeted micro-massage that influences fibroblasts and supports collagen formation. Thanks to varying amplitudes, the skin’s receptivity increases and active ingredients can be introduced more effectively.
Advanced 10 MHz frequency technology
Traditional cosmetic ultrasound typically uses 1 MHz and 3 MHz, which can penetrate deeper -around 3 cm and 1 cm correspondingly, influencing deeper tissue layers.
IONTO Sono uses a special 10 MHz frequency with an approximate penetration depth of just around 3 mm, designed to act more directly within the skin itself. Upper skin layers are activated during the negative pressure phases, supporting regeneration from the inside out.

IONTO SONO Effect LDM
Ultrasonic Technology in its Highest Dimension.
This device in contrast to conventional ultrasound equipment works with 3 rapidly changed frequencies 1 MHz / 3 MHz / 10 MHz creates a unique LDM (Local Dynamic Micro-Massage) effect. LDM is an extremely rapid change of two ultrasonic frequencies during treatment - creating a new type of micro-massage at the cellular level by generating wave pulses in the skin tissues with different pressure zones. Ultrasound treatment results can be increased with a synergetic application of bio-cellulose masks.
The individual mask can be chosen accordingly to a specific treatment program target – the results are immediately visible and will increase persistently over a series of consecutive treatments.
To reinforce the effect of the treatment and provide the skin with active substances, you can also work with a water-based serum or an ampoule.
Firstly, apply a serum/ampoule corresponding to the skin type/treatment target, then apply ultrasound contacting gel and continue with a treatment program.
