LED IS A KEY PART OF MODERN SKIN THERAPY
LED Therapy is an advanced, science-backed technology that delivers cost-effective treatments for a wide range of skin concerns. In modern skin therapy and physiology, it’s a powerful modality that complements many professional protocols and, for certain indications, is difficult to replace. For LED to work, light must be absorbed by the skin to trigger a biological response—and because different tissues and cells absorb specific wavelengths differently, the wavelength selected determines the therapeutic effect. That’s why our LED devices use multiple clinically relevant wavelengths across different head units, allowing you to tailor treatment precisely to your client’s needs.
HOW DOES LED LIGHT THERAPY WORK?
When the LED light panel is positioned above the skin surface, the light energy emitted from the diodes penetrates the skin layers at varying depths. This penetration can trigger beneficial biological responses in the skin and underlying tissues.
The main effect of an LED Light Therapy system is to support the skin’s natural self-regeneration by activating cellular repair processes.
A key advantage of LED Light Therapy is the delivery of optimised wavelengths that help stimulate microcirculation—an important factor in improving many skin conditions.
PHOTO-DYNAMIC THERAPY (PDT)
Our LED devices produce a distinctive, high-intensity “cold light” that delivers effective light energy without generating heat during treatment.
Clients may still notice a gentle warmth on the skin. This sensation comes from increased capillary microcirculation as deeper tissues are stimulated.
When monochromatic light at specific wavelengths is absorbed by the skin, two key reactions can occur: photobiostimulation and photoeudermia.
• Photobiostimulation activates mitochondria within skin cells to increase Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) production. This boosts cellular energy in the dermal layers and supports cell proliferation, cellular activity, and metabolism.
• Photoeudermia enhances the skin’s receptivity to cosmetic ingredients. It helps active components absorb more effectively and penetrate deeper to where they’re needed most.

O2toDerm™
OXYGEN THERAPY DOME GLASS - FACIAL DEVICE
O2toDerm LED Plus is an oxygen therapy dome glass facial device that combines filtered, highly concentrated oxygen and oxygen anions with LED Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) in one simultaneous treatment.
The system converts normal air into pure oxygen and oxygen anions (around 3 million anions per cm³, close to 100% concentration) and pairs it with four LED wavelengths—Red + IR (640 nm + 830 nm), Blue (420 nm), Green (530 nm), and Yellow (590 nm)—to target concerns from ageing and breakouts to sensitivity, redness, and circulation.
A mist gun can also atomise an appropriate serum with oxygen/anions before the LED + dome phase to help deliver actives more deeply—making it a strong option for post-procedure care (laser, microneedling, microdermabrasion), recovery-focused sessions, and visible skin-soothing, hydration, tone, and anti-ageing results.
WHAT IS AN ANION?
An anion is an atom or molecule that has gained an extra electron, giving it a negative electrical charge. Some research and wellness literature refers to air ions as “vitamins from the air,” a phrase associated with American bacteriologist Albert P. Krueger, in the context of potential effects on perceived well-being.

SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT LIGHT THERAPY
Light plays an extremely important role in our lives.
We know there is no life without light.
Light is the main source of energy for human cells.
Since ancient times light has been known to promote healing and remedy.
…But there is more to LED Light:
⇒ It activates skin cells
⇒ It improves the body’s defense system
⇒ It stimulates healing processes
The successful use of light in medicine has a long history.
Ancient civilizations, the Greeks and the Egyptians understood the importance of light and its healing effects on our health. “Heliotherapy” was the first natural Light Therapy successfully used as an effective medical treatment for preventing & healing various medical conditions. Hippocrates, a Greek scientist, the father of modern medicine (460BC-370BC) used to say: “Vitiis Nemo Sine Honore Et Lumine” – Honour the healing power of light.
In 1893, the Danish physician Niels Ryberg Finsen developed one of the first devices capable of producing technically synthesized “sunlight”.
Technically synthesized light has clear advantages: its intensity and emitted light spectrum are controllable.
From 1895 to 1903, he treated more than 950 patients with lupus vulgaris (tuberculosis of the skin) using filtered, technically synthesized “sunlight”.
In 1903 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his research in light therapy and his exceptional therapeutic achievements. Dr Finsen, therefore, is considered the founder of modern light therapy.
There is very interesting research by the North American Space Agency NASA on the practical application of LED light in spacecraft to maintain vital conditions for living organisms and plants.
The main characteristic of LED light therapy is the creation of the Bio -stimulation of the human cells which is a key factor to get fast improvement in skin and body conditions.
Activated microcirculation by LED Light Emission accelerates regenerative and healing processes in the skin and body. The light delivery re-charges the cell’s ATP and dynamically improves chemical reactions in all body and skin cells, thus stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
LED light waves penetrate the skin into different layers (depths) depending on the wavelength, triggering self-repair mechanisms at the cellular level.
Each wavelength (light-colour) specifically targets a different skin condition, where the three main applications are:
RED – Anti-Wrinkle, YELLOW – Lymphatic Stimulation, BLUE – Anti-acne treatment.
